This tract of waterfront woodland is just north of Covington in Baraga County of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Located on the famous Sturgeon River and having frontage on the Rock river as well, the tract features extensive lands that are remote but accessible. This tract would lend itself to a very private, hunting and fishing lodge/camp with a good interior road system. This is some of the best recreation land in the entire area featuring excellent trout fishing, hunting for trophy bucks and coveys of grouse along with hiking, canoeing, biking, snowshoeing and just about any other type of woodland or waterfront recreation you can think of. This parcel lends itself to the sports family who enjoys the north woods. The Sturgeon River is noted for good trout fishing and the Rock River has very good brook trout fishing as well. This entire tract is available with year round building sites off of Plains Road where you will find power or remote sites on the interior off the grid. There are just a few of these large tract, riverfront parcels in the U.P. and this is one of the finest. The tract can also be divided into three parcels or create your own parcel. All of the land divisions are available if you are thinking of a riverfront development. One very important feature is the frontage on both sides of the rivers for most of the tract. Another interesting feature is the access just over a mile from M28. In Summary: This tract has good access, power, interior roads, thousands of feet of excellent river frontage on two trout rivers with great fishing, nearly 1,200 contiguous acres, terrific wildlife with deer and grouse hunting at it's finest. If you are looking for a large tract of land with many features not found in these larger tracts such as year round insurable access and power, perhaps this is for you.
