This awesome camp is located in Marquette's desirable Forestville Location perched right at the top of a mountain with spectacular views of hills and valleys with several creeks running through it. Your 40 acres borders 640 acres of State Land and surrounded by 1000's of acres of CFA land making your hunting and recreation opportunities seemingly endless. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets envelope the property while a passing Eagle may be seen in the daylight hours. Nearly 40 years of great memories and legendary hunts have been had here where you feel and are in the middle of nowhere, but are still in Marquette. Views of Lake Superior are seen in the fall so if you want to clear a few trees you could probably see it year round. Good seasonal roads lead to the property, but year round use has been enjoyed by snowmobilers since the groomed trail runs close by. Camps in this area rarely become available and can provide years of enjoyment for family and friends who can begin their own traditions. Avid Mountain Bikers could easily ride here from Marquette starting on our famous trails in town leading eventually to the dead end road that stops right at your camp. Quiet and peaceful, you will find no traffic passing by and you cannot see another building, road or person from the camp. The camp is a cool octagon shape log building with great views in all angles. There is a loft for sleeping and a good sized room for gathering. A sun porch and a screen porch with a swing offer relaxing areas to read, watch wildlife, enjoy good conversation and leave the stressful world behind. The camp is well built with a gas stove, a gas fridge if you want, plenty of room for guests, a generator for power if you need and being on top of a mountain gives you a good amount of free tv channels and great cell phone service so you could even stream data if needed. A wind generator and solar energy would be a natural on the mountain top providing clean and green electricity. A wood fired Sauna is a must for a true Yooper Camp and the heavily wooded property gives you all the firewood you could ever need for the camp and sauna. The area provides tremendous opportunities for all the types of recreation the U.P. is famous for. Trails run endlessly from Co Rd 550 through to Co Rd 510, Big Bay, Marquette and beyond offering great ATV riding, Mountain Biking Adventures, Dirt Bike riding, 4 Wheel Drive fun, Hiking, Skiing, and Snowmobile Trails are groomed and lead across the entire U.P. Streams in the area include Nash Creek, the Bismark, Harlow Creek, The Little Garlic and more, many with hidden secret waterfalls, ponds and fishing holes for the truly adventurous to enjoy all to themselves. Kids will love fishing on Harlow Lake and the spectacular sand beaches and sandstone cliffs of Little Presque Isle are right across your entry road to the property for swimming and kayaking.
